Become a Hinchinbrook Way Ambassador

For locals who are passionate about growing the tourism sector and love meeting visitors; the Hinchinbrook Ambassador Program is the new tourism focused volunteer program with a strong emphasis on enhancing the visitor experience to embody the Hinchinbrook Way philosophy. Graduates from the program who meet the minimum volunteering requirements will be known as Hinchinbrook Way Ambassadors.   This program delivers a comprehensive understanding of the Hinchinbrook Way brand, sourcing and disseminating local tourism information and developing enhanced customer service skills.

It is a unique and rewarding experience working in a fun, dynamic environment and being an integral member of a team that promotes both TYTO and the Hinchinbrook Shire as a destination and primarily makes it happen operationally at TYTO.

80 Volunteers contributed 6241 hours alone in the 2014/15 financial year and we couldn’t deliver the awesome service and events at TYTO without them.

Our dedicated volunteers work throughout TYTO within the Information and Wetland Centre, Hinchinbrook Shire Library, Double Daw Creative Studio and Regional Art Gallery and on various activities, workshops and events, as required
