LIBRARY WEEK

Monday 20 May – First 5 Forever Fun
Come in to the library to discover what is on offer to the regions’ under 5’s. Take part in a morning of Baby Bop, Story time AND our new sessions of Messy Play! 10.30am – 12.00pm

Tuesday 21 May – Genealogy Workshop – Ever wondered what the real story behind your family history is? The study of families and history is a fascinating topic that can fast become a hobby. Come along and join the free workshop at Hinchinbrook Shire Library 10am to 11:30am.

Wednesday 22 May – National Simultaneous Story time — at 11am participants across Australia and New Zealand will sit down and read Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Cosgrove.

Thursday 23 May – Cyber Safety — this day provides the opportunity to learn from our IT Ambassador about cyber safety and internet safety. Protect your identity and computer against hackers and cyber attacks. This information session will highlight the dangers that lurk on the internet. 10:30am – 11:30am

Friday 24 May – Stories of yesteryear are easily lost with the passing of time. The Hinchinbrook Shire Library is inviting members from the community to record their family and local history stories at the Double Daw Creative Studio. Under the guidance of a qualified Sound engineer, compile your stories for posterity. Studio sessions are 45 minutes in length, all questions and topics need to be compiled prior to the recording.
